Help Establish Houses of Refuge

Our Partners are Our Lifeline to the Widows and Fatherless Children of NE Nigeria

(Scroll to bottom for credit card donation.)

Thank you for considering a tax-deductible gift! (A suggested gift of $15/month will provide shelter and food to a widow and her two children. An additional $10/month will provide counseling and economic empowerment. Each dollar donated helps us reach out and bring safety, support, counseling, and education to the young women who suffered at the hands of their Boko Haram captors. This is especially true of the young women (11-17) kidnapped by Boko Haram extremists and forced into sexual slavery. According to the Nigerian government, they estimate that upwards of 9000 thousand women of both Christian and Muslim faith have been forced from their homes by these Muslim extremists. Pregnant with their kidnapper's children—should they escape or be released—they are, in many cases, shunned by their families and culture. They have nowhere to turn for comfort and care. Will you help us establish Houses of Refuge led by loving families who will minister the love of Christ to these young girls in distress?

Partner with us as we work with:

  • Nigerian Project Leader - Dr. Ekene Osakwe (Humphrey – Fulbright Fellow, CDC, Emory University) to establish these much-needed homes for those most despised by the world.

  • An unprecedented team of Church leadership from across the leading denominations and the with special thanks to ECWA the leading denomination in the NE region of conflict with over 1800 churches.

  • The government of Nigeria which has offered its full support in aiding our efforts to reach these girls by providing armed convoys and security to protect our "boots on the ground".

  • The international activist of "Africa Girl Child" campaign, Bukky Shonibare. She continues to work as an advocate for girls receiving a solid education and skills training. Regional Pregnancy Resource counselors and safe-home ministries.

In addition, we are committed to educating our society to respect all innocent human life regardless of age, race, sex, health, function, or condition of dependency, including pre-born children at every stage of their biological development.

Please help us reach these very vulnerable women with your love and please reach out to your church to educate others about this great need.

* A "Double Widow" is like 14 year old Esther (not her real name) who according to village custom married a Christian man of 17 and started a family in her rural farm community. The Boko Haram attacked one night and killed over 400 of her fellow villagers including her husband. She and her daughter were kidnapped and she was subjected to sexual bondage and eventually forced to marry a Boko Haram insurgent. She bore another child by her captor who was later killed by government forces. As in the western world, bearing a child conceived in rape carries a stigma. This double widow is not welcomed by her family or village and is outcast by all. It is currently estimated by the Nigerian government that 9000 women remain in sexual bondage by the Muslim extremists in the area of NE Nigeria. Please help us rescue these girls, give them a place of safety and security to raise their fatherless children, provide economic empowerment and spiritual comfort.

"‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’"               Matthew 25:44-45
